This position is 100 onsite and for 1st shift.
Summary:
Focus on post-processing SLA (Stereolithography) parts, ensuring high-quality finishes and performance.
Responsible for cleaning, curing, sanding, priming, and finishing SLA components to meet specifications.
Operate and maintain SLA equipment, prepare build files, and collaborate with customers on design for additive manufacturing.
Post-process SLA parts, including support removal, UV curing, surface smoothing, and finishing.
Apply manual and machine finishing techniques like sanding, bead blasting, and polishing.
Use adhesives, primers, and coatings for part durability and appearance.
Operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment (SLA, SLS, PolyJet, FDM, DMLS).
Develop and document post-processing workflows for SLA and other technologies.
Collaborate with customers on design optimization for manufacturability and post-processing.
Required Skills:
Technical Associate Degree (or equivalent) and 1+ years of related experience.
Experience with post-processing of SLA and other AM parts.
Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
Knowledge of adhesives, paints, and surface finishing techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in quality control.
Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings.
Desired Skills:
Additive Manufacturing experience.
Prototyping and part design experience.
Spray painting and model finishing experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment and collaborate with teams and customers.
