Position Type: Permanent
Job Description:

With more than 120 operations and approximately 20,000 employees worldwide, Precision Castparts Corp. is the market leader in manufacturing large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, forged components, aerostructures and highly engineered, critical fasteners for aerospace applications. In addition, we are the leading producer of airfoil castings for the industrial gas turbine market. We also manufacture extruded seamless pipe, fittings, and forgings for power generation and oil & gas applications; commercial and military airframe aerostructures; and metal alloys and other materials for the casting and forging industries. With such critical applications, we insist on quality and dependability – not just in the materials and products we make, but in the people we recruit.

PCC is relentless in its dedication to being a high-quality, low-cost and on-time producer; delivering the highest value to its customers while continually pursuing strategic, profitable growth.

In 2016, Berkshire Hathaway, led by Chairman and CEO Warren E. Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp.

  • Manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and process Z-level purchase orders.
  • Track supplier deliveries, close out invoices, work orders, and finalize fixture drawings.
  • Conduct on-site visits to suppliers to assess progress and address technical concerns, coordinating with suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive fixture lifecycle documentation, including quotations, designs, work orders, and relevant records.
  • Innovate and enhance procedures and techniques to meet engineering, tooling, and manufacturing requirements in a cost-effective manner.
  • Assist with customer tooling audits as required.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 8+ years in tooling/fixture design and procurement with deep expertise in tool design, stress analysis, machining, fabrication, welding, and materials application.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in dimensional gaging, machining holding fixtures, templates, and multi-axis part handling equipment.
  • Engineering Fundamentals: Solid grounding in statics, strength of materials, and stress analysis; advanced experience in FEA preferred.
  • Drawing and Tolerance Standards: Thorough understanding of engineering design practices, revision control, and ANSI Y14.5 standards for geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Education: BS in Engineering preferred but not needed; AS in Engineering/Technical field with 8-12 years of relevant hands-on experience acceptable.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for tool and product design; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
  • Project Management: Capable of managing high volumes of tooling quotations and orders, and adept at resolving technical, cost, or delivery issues with suppliers and design teams.
