Become part of the Lockheed Martin MFC team within the Tool Design team. The selected candidate will work alongside tooling operations, production, and program engineers to design and develop custom tools and equipment used to manufacture missiles and missile systems.

What You Will Be Doing As the Tool Engineer, Senior your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Designing, developing, and implementing industrial tooling and equipment used to manufacture offensive and defensive weapons systems.
• Designing tooling such as dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype model production and machine attachments required for production or experimental use.
• Designing tools while considering such factors as safety, accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements.
• Using 3D CAD software (Creo) to create detailed 3D models and technical drawing packages.
• Reviewing defective tooling and determining rework solutions.
• Providing input on manufacturing methods and process improvements.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in an associated discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and
education
• Proficient in the use of CAD Software
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, and other technical data
• Experience in tool concept and design
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
• Candidate must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• CREO/Pro E experience
• Experience with tooling and tool fabrication
• Experience in manufacturing
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures
• Familiarity with GD&T
• Ability to collaborate within a multi-functional team
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
