Job Title: Welding Engineer

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Govan Rd, Glasgow G51 4XP

Rates to be discussed.

Monday to Friday (Half Day on Fridays)

Day Shift

37 Hours per week

Full time onsite

What you&8217;ll be doing:
o Ensure that all aspects of Welder approvals and Welding procedures are up to date and being correctly maintained.
o Interpretation of standards and specifications in relation to welding and associated processes.
o Aptitude to solve shop floor and production welding related problems.
o Support continuous improvement philosophy and practices within the welding processes.
o Advise Operations on the optimum welding processes to achieve performance standards.
o Capability to understand weld inspection and NDE techniques.

Your skills and experiences:
o High level of welding process awareness aligned to good practical welding skills on most welding processes/equipment/techniques/minimum of 5 years experience.
o Be capable of working both individually and as part of a team with the aims of improving all aspects of welding within the business
o An industry recognised qualification in welding technology.
o Good knowledge of welding processes in a shipbuilding, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environment.
