We have an exciting onsite opportunity for a CFO of our Military Engines Fighter & Mobility (F&M) Finance Team supporting the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) business located in West Palm Beach, FL.
The preferred candidate will be based in West Palm Beach area and expected to be in the office frequently per “return to the office” guidelines.
The position has P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility and significant exposure to P&W and Military Engines senior executives.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, instinctive, self-starter interested in leading teams and growing the APU business.
What You Will Do:
- Partner with the APU Program Senior Director and the program leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and assess impact of business decisions on the financial results.
- Prepare all financial support for monthly APU program reviews. Brief program leadership each month on the financial results and drive accountability for profitability across the organization.
- Work closely with the program and the operations/supply chain organization to measure product cost and risk to the financial plan.
- Manage the APU program finance team and focus on expanding and developing their financial analysis and experience.
- Train, supervise and mentor staff; providing opportunities to work on various accounting projects, drafting accounting memos and presentations.
- Lead all financial activities related to the APU program including but not limited to financial analysis, monthly reporting and forecasting as well as the annual long range plan process (LRP), understanding monthly financial actuals, and supporting ME financial leadership.
- Collaborate with cross functional business groups by providing support in areas such as new business campaigns, product offerings, customer solutions, cost reduction activities, and process improvements.
- Assist the program with developing a broader business strategy to continue the program growth in both the short-term and long-term perspective.
- Drive process improvements to your existing organization as well as collaborating on organizational enhancements to realize benefits across all functions.
- Ensure internal controls are adequately functioning and that internal and external audits are fully supported.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- B.S. in Finance/Accounting required or equivalent experience and minimum of 12+ years of relevant work experience; OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10+ years relevant work experience.
- Possess a working knowledge of SAP, Business warehouse (BW), and OneStream.
- Excellent analytical skills including variance analysis (intellectual inquisitiveness).
- US Citizenship required due to business support requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross department project teams or manage across multiple related departments.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Experience working in an “actual cost” environment.

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
*This requisition is eligible for relocation and an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.
The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
