YOUR ROLE:

As a Financial Controller you will serve as a key member of MAEs Senior Leadership team. The Financial Controller is responsible for all financial and management accounting activities including monitoring the financial performance of specific programs. Provides comprehensive analysis and calculates financial measures of performance. The Financial Controller serves as Business Partner and finance counsel to leadership team, to offer strategic, commercial and financial insights that drive business value.  

 

​​WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Perform Monthly Profitability and Variance Analysis against Budget and Forecast. 

  • Develop timely and accurate monthly forecasts, annual budget and 5-year plan. 

  • Partner leadership team on realization of strategic plan and budget goals, monitor & track operational performance to achieve financial targets and goals. 

  • Support senior leadership in existing and new program profitability analysis to maximize returns. 

  • Identify and carry out initiatives to improve financial performance. 

  • Evaluate capital investments for IRR and make best use of available resources. 

  • Manage Cash Flow and Net Working Capital. 

  • Ensure timely month end close and corporate reporting. 

  • Ensure compliance with Group policies, IFRS, US GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting 

  • Ensure that risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational. 

  • Custodian and documentation of finance processes, procedures, policies and manuals. 

  • Support Aerospace sector related Financial Profitability & Analysis (FP&A) and Business Controlling projects and tasks. 

  • Lead, coach and develop Finance staff to enable career progression and growth. 

  • Champion continuous improvements and efficiencies in finance department.  

  • Perform various special projects as assigned.  

 

What You Will Need:
  • 10 years financial planning & analysis experience from manufacturing environment; Aerospace MRO experience a plus. 

  • Possess business acumen, superior operational orientation and analytical skills. 

  • Strong technology skills a must (Excel and Database tools); with hands-on experience with SAP and Hyperion. 

  • Experience in a standard costing environment. 

  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles and practices. 

  • Demonstrates initiative, proactive and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines. 

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

 

Education Requirements​ 

Undergraduate Degree in Accounting required
