Join the dynamic easyJet holidays Finance Team as the Head of Financial Control and play a pivotal role in steering the financial accuracy and robustness of easyJet Holidays. This key position reports directly to the Finance Director and is integral to ensuring compliance with all technical accounting and reporting requirements.
You will lead the accounting period close process, maintain a robust financial control environment, and oversee all transactions for accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure they are timely, accurate, and efficient. Additionally, you will ensure that the Holidays Management Board is well-informed about the technical accounting environment relevant to the business. This role is crucial in supporting the businesss aim to deliver £250m of profit in the medium term through optimised financial processes and reporting.

As the Head of Financial Control, you will manage the financial control team to meet all reporting requirements, lead the annual audit process, and ensure the financial integrity of the easyJet holidays balance sheet. You will work closely with the Finance Director, Investor Relations, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate reflection of results in the group Annual Report and Accounts. Your leadership will extend to implementing UK SOX requirements, enhancing the internal financial control environment, and driving automation and process efficiencies.

Job Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the team

easyJet holidays is seeking a highly experienced and qualified accountant to join our team as the Head of Financial Control. With 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in senior financial control roles within large multinational or listed entities, you will have a deep understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
This role demands a leader capable of developing, leading, and inspiring a large team, effectively managing complex relationships, and maintaining strong connections with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, the CAA, and card acquirers. You will have proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence the broader organisation and maintain effective working relationships across all levels. The role requires strong presentation skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate complex technical areas simply and effectively.

As the Head of Financial Control, you will be responsible for overseeing the control environment and business processes, designing and implementing financial controls to support the business's growth, and driving process improvements and automation.
Extensive experience with finance systems (including SQL) is essential, as you will support strategic reporting and tactical MI requirements.
You will be hands-on with a strong attention to detail, yet able to see the wider picture and assess effort versus benefit for the business. You will apply sound judgement to accounting situations and quickly identify key issues and drivers from large amounts of complex data.
This role is crucial in understanding the financial and commercial dynamics of a rapidly growing subsidiary within a listed group, ensuring the financial integrity and supporting the ambitious growth trajectory of easyJet holidays.

The role is full-time and based at our easyJet holidays HQ near Luton Airport. We operate a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office.
