Job Description:
Supports the Sr Business Manager in the financial project management of a variety of critical high value space projects as well as less critical lower value projects. Utilizes standard tools to provide data input to Estimates at Completion (EAC’s); Monthly Forecasts; and Strategic Plans.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing the control of the budget for large and/or complex programs.
- Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
- Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
- Conducts detailed financial analysis. Interprets and implements most proposal estimating, pricing and documentation requirements.
- Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control. Monitors program adherence to approved budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficiency will Oracle databases
- Proficiency with Hyperion Planning
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with various levels throughout the company as well as with external customer(s)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Self-motivated/self-starter
- Knowledge of and experience in Earned Value Management techniques and processes.
- Knowledge of cost accounting standards, performance measurement systems, command media, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contracting requirements.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in CA or WA is $67,500 - $125,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
