Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Analysis, the Senior Analyst acts as a business partner and ensures the production of several financial analyses, models and forecasts. The Senior Analyst is responsible for participating in activities related to the communication and production of reliable and complete financial information and analysis to support decision making

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reports, based on data analysis solutions, with respect to the informational business needs of the various departments and performance monitoring ;
• Develop financial models from multiple sources to track the companys indicators ;
• Analyze financial results, risks and opportunities against historical data and financial forecasts and communicate results to stakeholders ;
• Ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of financial data ;
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, both corporate and departmental, and in variance analysis ;
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports; provide relevant explanations for variances from expected results ;
• Participate in continuous improvement projects by promoting automation and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or business administration ;
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des CPA(CA, CMA or CGA) ;
• Five (5) years' experience in financial analysis ;
• Excellent Excel skills ;
• Experience with PowerBI (an asset) ;
• Strong analytical skills, good ability to synthesize and communicate analytical, quantitative and qualitative solutions ;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
