Are you an experienced Upholstery Technician with a passion for precision and craftsmanship? At PDS Tech Commercial, we’re looking for a Senior Upholstery Technician to take on a critical role in designing, fabricating, and installing custom upholstery and trim for aircraft interiors. In this position, youll not only apply your advanced skills but also mentor and guide fellow technicians while overseeing projects to ensure exceptional quality and safety.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Independently design, fabricate, and install upholstery and trim items, including seat covers, curtains, and custom carpet installations with unique patterns.
- Interpret engineering drawings and material specifications to ensure every product meets rigorous design standards.
- Sew and assemble covers for aircraft interior panels, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity are met.
- Manage material tracking and assist in task delegation, ensuring smooth project flow and maintaining superior quality control.
- Take on lead responsibilities when needed, guiding your team with hands-on support and mentoring.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4 years of upholstery experience, including at least 2 years of aircraft upholstery or 6 years of commercial upholstery experience
- Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes, including custom carpet installation
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and engineering documentation
- Proficient in using material tracking systems (e.g., Corridor) and basic computer literacy
- Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in restricted spaces, including climbing ladders and stairs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Company inspection and process specifications
- Experience with Lean Six-Sigma tools for process improvements
- Familiarity with safety audits and equipment maintenance

Pay Details: $32.19 per hour
