JOB SUMMARY:

To provide the next operation with a quality product through buffing to tolerance and appearance expectations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working from work orders, specifications, procedures and detailed instructions to buff basic parts.
• Operates power and hand sanding and buffing tools to prepare basic furniture parts before final assembly.
• Maintains close mental and visual attentions to meet tolerance of finish.
• Responsible for own work.
• Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification, and Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

0-6 months of buffing experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety shoes and protective clothing could be required.
