We offer our customers a variety of global aerospace support, including Systems Integration, Fabrication, Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply, Engineering, Maintenance, Modification, Repair, and Overhaul, Training Support, and all levels of Maintenance. PRINCLIPLE RESPONSIBILITES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Use publications and charts to inspect remove/replace aircraft aviator survival equipment.

Document work accomplished on government and company electronic and/or manual Information Systems.

Perform on aircraft conditional and special inspections of installed survival equipment.,

Order aviator personal equipment parts, tools, material.

Rig/fit/modify aviators helmets.

Fit/repair/modify survival vest.

Rig life preserver and survival vest.

Install/test emergency radios in survival vest.

Service, repair and maintain SEA and related equipment.

Operate, adjust, clean, lube sewing machine when trained/qualified.

Install/remove/repair grommet/snap fasteners/Velcro closures on aviators personal flight equipment.

Manufacture fabric items from detailed drawings.

Sew heavy and/or light material, Naugahyde/vinyl.

Remove/install/repair slide fastener in all type fabrics.

Maintains night vision goggles when trained/qualified.

Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.

Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.

Responsible for adhering to the Tool Control Program.

Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment.

Must possess personal tools required to perform the work in the Aviation Survival Equipment Technician I classification.

Ensure quality assurance inspections are complied with when needed.

May be required to perform Collateral Duty Inspector functions when qualified and certified.

Pursuant to provisions of the CBA, at the discretion of management, may be requested to perform the duties of Lead.

Monitor and assist the line move crew when operating inside the hangar.

Assist in ensuring the safety, security, inventory and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment.

Perform other related duties within the job classification.

Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.

Other projects and initiatives as assigned.

POSITION SCOPE AND CHARTER

Must provide evidence of successful completion of the Navy Parachute Rigger “A” School or the Army or Air Force Equivalent as required.

Must have two (2) years documented hands on specialized experience in aviators personal and survival equipment maintenance.

Must meet any other qualification standards imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required

The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.

Some travel will be required

Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.

Physical Demands:

Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring uncomfortable positions. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

LICENSING, CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of C-555-0047 OOMA course or equivalent (as required).
  • CDQAR/CDI *
  • Hazardous Materials Certification
  • Physical requirements in accordance with OPNAV 8023.24 Series
  • GSE Licensing *
  • Airfield Operators License
Valid State Driver License
