This is a Second shift opportunity. Days/hours are Mon-Fri; 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Overtime opportunity is available.
Pratt & Whitney PSD provides the aviation industry with unique capabilities for specialized repair of gas turbine engine cases and components. What You Will Do:
- This position is responsible for inspecting aerospace parts in conformance with work instructions and customer specifications.
- Duties involve the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other various measuring instruments and equipment.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Set-up and operate CMM to perform calibration of test and measurement equipment and / or inspect customer parts.
- Appropriately log and communicate results and out-of-spec parts.
- Review schedules and assist in planning, coordinating and utilizing resources daily to meet company and customer commitments.
- Communicate within and outside of the quality department to report on parts status.
- Assist in resolution of operational, quality, and/or maintenance resource issues when they arise.
- Report maintenance related issues with equipment to appropriate personnel.
- Notify other shifts of problems encountered and steps towards resolution.
- Work in a team environment to accomplish work and solve problems.
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating measurement devices, tools, systems and/or machines .
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- The capability of reading and interpreting work instructions and product blueprints.
- Read and interpret FAA regulations and guidance material.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office programs.

Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
