Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Jupiter, Florida that is a leading aftermarket service provider for multi-platform OEM gas turbine power plants worldwide.
A CMM Inspector will perform precise dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace components.
Essential Functions:
- Operate and program CMM equipment (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent) to inspect aerospace components.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined aerospace parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Verify parts against customer, AS9100, and FAA compliance requirements.
- Document and report inspection findings, non-conformances, and deviations.
- Utilize various manual inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges) to verify measurements.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and reports per company and regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and manufacturing processes.
Requirements - 3+ years of experience as a CMM Inspector in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CMM programming and operation (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software).
- Strong understanding of GD&T, AS9100, and aerospace quality standards.
- Experience with first article inspections (FAI) per AS9102.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with manual inspection tools.
- High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Certifications in quality inspection, metrology, or AS9100 compliance (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with aerospace components such as sheet metal, machined parts, or composites.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for quality reporting.
