The Role
You will be responsible for machining components within a high-precision manufacturing environment, supporting advanced aerospace projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust 5-axis turning and milling machines
- Monitor production quality and machine performance
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers on new part introduction
- Follow process layouts, work instructions, and compliance standards
- Support TPM and maintenance activities
- Ensure material flow, tooling availability, and SWIP monitoring
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives
- Adhere to all EHS and safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years CNC setting & operating experience
- Experience in a precision engineering/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of 5-axis machines and inspection equipment
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
Desirable
- Apprentice-trained background
- Experience with new technology or cell introductions
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset
Shift Pattern
Week 1 – Earlies:
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00am – 1:30pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm
Week 2 – Lates:
- Monday–Thursday: 1:15pm – 9:00pm
- Friday: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
