Job Title: Stockroom Clerk

Reports To: Materials Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clerk (Stockroom) is directly responsible to the Supervisor (Stockroom). The Clerk (Stockroom) is responsible for:
- Accomplishing incoming and outgoing freight transactions, accurately completing Kalitta Maintenance receiving documents in accordance with established procedures.
- Verifying quantities, part numbers, descriptions, serial numbers, and conditions of inbound and outbound shipments. Completing Kalitta Maintenance shipping/receiving documents by following procedures I/A/W the Kalitta Maintenance RSM.
- Selecting an appropriate carrier based on delivery requirements to ensure on time, economical delivery, being knowledgeable of common carrier terminologies to ensure accuracy of freight documents.
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments.
- The organization and cleanliness of hangar stockroom (except QC bond area).
- Separating delivery and pick up shipments for various warehouses, Quality Control, and other departments. Preparing and packaging material for shipment in accordance with company procedures, DOT HM125, and ATA Dangerous Goods.
- Ensuring that inventory balances remain accurate by proper completion of Kalitta Maintenance documents to ensure receipt and issue transactions of company commercial, and customer furnished material is in accordance with established procedures.
- Knowledge of current computer systems, making accurate data entries in accordance with established procedures.
- Knowledge of common warehouse practices and warehouse tool operations, i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor (Stockroom) related to the stockroom and company needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
