Position Summary:

Expedites, routes, jobs and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Coordinates master production with production for potential and actual shortages and alert supervision of potential problems. Generates schedule status reports and keep records of completed operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with supervision, and production area personnel as directed, as required to prepare, deliver, and distribute parts within the facility
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, materials requirements, and material priorities. Coordinate priorities with program/production team members
  • Record production data including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures used in the expediting process
  • Work with team members to identify and prioritize expedited requests
  • Move parts to next operations
  • Schedule and conduct inventory counts/audits, lead troubleshooting efforts, and reconcile MRP system with results; Review stock labeling and storage; Research and report on anticipated downstream req’ts due to schedule, loss, and change req’ts
  • Compile information such as production so that status reports can be completed
  • Prepare status reports (schedule, labor, etc.) and distribute as required
  • May occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills:

  • General Tier II level airframe assembly concepts and procedures
  • Good working knowledge of BQMS processes related to manufacturing, production control, procurement, and quality
  • Ability to draw on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish a wide variety of complicated tasks
  • Able to keep team members well informed and to draw on other&39;s expertise when required
  • Able to be certified with/and operate a forklift and picker
  • Good computer skills and ability to query, monitor, and input MRP system data
  • Ability to professionally communicate and work with others
  • Good attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Willingness to learn and, as required, help and/or train others

  • Moving parts, machine noise; VDTs, computers
  • Sedentary to medium activity, able to stand up to 10 hours
  • Lift/Move/Position: 30 occasionally; 10 routinely
