Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. What are your contributions to the team?
- Supervise the routine inspection of all tools to ensure consistency, integrity, and appropriate documentation.
- Oversee the engraving and documentation of tools, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Ensure that rejected tools and parts, including suspected unapproved parts, are properly quarantined and labelled. Promptly inform the GSE Supervisor about any discrepancies to initiate corrective actions.
- Lead the team in managing material certificates and storage practices, ensuring that all materials are properly linked to their supplier sources.
- Supervise the tracking and logging of outgoing materials to the correct personnel and ensure they are returned when required.
- Monitor and manage special tooling, ensuring all issued tools are within their calibration period, and take proactive measures to remove any tooling ahead of its calibration due date.
- Track and report inventory levels of consumables, collaborating with the Buyer Planner to replenish stock as needed.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in the stores area, encouraging team adherence to these practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of broken tooling and ensure documentation is correctly filed.
- Oversee the checking in and out of tooling, ensuring that no items are missing and that all equipment is complete.
- Manage the servicing and filing of calibration reports, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
- Ensure that shelf audits are conducted consistently and effectively.
- Act as the primary point of contact for both internal departments and external vendors, responding promptly to email requests.

- Demonstrate strong multitasking skills, with the ability to manage both team tasks and individual responsibilities.
- Hold a valid Driver’s License.

- Possess knowledge of human factors, human performance, and limitations, and encourage best practices within your team.
- Be proficient in operating and learning necessary computer systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and web-based applications.
