Position Summary
To ensure the safe, timely and accurate movement of goods in/out and around the carbon plant including stores and manufacturing areas.
Responsibilities
- Material handing carbon discs for picking of Production orders and associated system transactions.
- Picking and packing machined discs ready for dispatch and associated system transactions.
- Receiving deliveries into SAP and put away of components into stores areas
- Goods in/outwards duties including use of a Fork Lift Truck
- Cycle counting of Discs or components
- Releasing production orders and processing shipping orders as required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Procurement in aerospace/manufacturing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to drive tasks to completion.
- Current Fork lift license
- A keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of stock control procedures including cycle counting/Perpetual inventory checking.
- Be able to follow instructions
- Work as part of a team and/or with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of computer based stock control systems
- Experience of packing items for despatch to customers.
