TITLE: Material Operations Lead
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Materials
OVERVIEW:
The Material Operations Lead provides oversight of aircraft part warehouses in support of maintenance for Global Crossing Airlines. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory and compliance standards related to aircraft parts storage and transport.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide oversight and supports all daily stores functions including but not limited to receiving, binning, shipping, etc of aircraft parts.
- Collaborates with Repairs, Purchasing, Planning and Maintenance to improve material availability and control costs.
- Ensures all required operating metrics are monitored and responsible for timely resolution of any not meeting required performance levels.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy to the established company goal and administers cycle/physical count program.
- Ensures all inventory transactions are completed and accurate in eMRO-TRAX.
- Ensures parts are available to aircraft maintenance for scheduled and unscheduled events.
- Establishes schedules and provides guidance to warehouse staff.
- Ensures warehouse operations are in compliance with company (GMM) and regulatory policies.
- Responsible for self-life and tooling calibration programs ensuring no parts or tools are used past their limits.
- Ensures safe operation of warehouse and associated equipment.
- Continuously monitors processes looking for improvements and risk mitigation.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate.
- Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by GlobalX.
- Travel may be required up to 10
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years warehouse operations experience managing complex inventories, preferably in an airline environment.
- Must be willing to operate in a 24/7 environment.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- eMRO-TRAX experience preferred.
- Strong decision making, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills including maintenance/engineering & inventory systems, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Knowledge of leadership and coaching techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage varying workloads.
- Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
