Join Materials, Processes & Test department
- to support the manufacturing and industrialization of C295 composite parts at TASL Bangalore
- Drive the First part Part Qualification of the composite parts and enable production readiness
within the stipulated timeline
- to understand all kind of Thermoset, Thermoplastic & Core materials
- to understand all kind of different technologies for composites manufacturing
Skills/Experience:
Knowledge and work experience on thermoset polymer matrix composite materials
Prepregs
Fibres – Carbon, Glass, Aramid
Thermoset resin systems – Epoxy, Phenolic, Bismaleimides
Cores
Lightning strike Protection material – Copper mesh, Bronze mesh
Peel ply
Bonding adhesives
Manufacturing of thermoset Composite parts
Monolithic/Sandwich parts
Co-curing, Co-bonding, Secondary bonding processes
Hand Layup/Vacuum bagging
Auxiliary materials – Release film, Bagging film, Breather, Sealant tape
Autoclave/Oven/Press curing
Demoulding/Machining
Automated Layup process – ATL/AFP
Testing of thermoset Composite materials according to standards, e.g.: ASTM/EN
Physical properties – Areal weight, Cured ply thickness, resin content, volatile content
Chemical properties – DSC, Gel time, Viscosity, HPLC, FTIR
Mechanical properties – DMA - Tg, Tensile, ILSS, IPS, Compression, Flatwise tensile, Peel strength, G1C
Knowledge on New product development (NPD) process for aerospace parts
Requirements for AS/EN9100 quality standard & related documentation
Required Domain Expertise:
Graduate/Post Graduate Engineer (Polymer/Materials/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering) with specialization in Composite Technology and manufacturing with 5-10 Years’ experience
Your Main Responsibilities
Providing solutions to engineering queries, material and manufacturing issues.
Drive first part qualification with TASL, Bangalore.
Liaise with Airbus Defence and Space team to provide the progress summary.
Provide manufacturing improvement solutions to the support.
You will build and maintain a powerful stakeholder network with internal interfaces such as design offices,manufacturing engineering.
In plant support at TASL, Bangalore (4 days/week at TASL and 1 day/week at Airbus India Pvt. Ltd.)
