Cirrus Aircraft is currently seeking any students in a Machining, Welding, or other Technical Manufacturing program interested in an internship at our Metal Works facility. This is a full-time internship opportunity for the Summer of 2025.
Students will receive an offer in one of the following areas:
- Machining
- Structural Assembling
- Welding
Opportunities for Experience:
- Fabrication of machined piece parts and tooling, prototypes, molds and tooling – fixtures using models, blueprints, drawings, and verbal directions.
- Operation of vertical and horizontal CNC Milling machines. Machine set-up and program adjustment. (Haas equipment preferred)
- CNC lathe operation and set-up, including live tooling. (Mazak equipment preferred)
- TIG welding of structural aircraft components. Chromoly steel, tube and plate.
- Sheet metal assembly. Riveting with pulled, squeezed, or bucked rivets.
- Metal surface finishing technologies. Abrasive blasting. Chemical surface treatments. Powder-coating.
- Interpretation of manufacturing work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Job tracking and execution software.
- Work with a high-performing team. Workplace safety culture. Innovative product and manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
- Current student in a Machining, Welding, or other Technical Manufacturing or engineering program.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
- Must be able to complete entire duration of internship.
- Must be able to secure local housing for duration of internship.
