Essential Functions:

  • Inspect purchased materials for conformity to standards, and specifications, using purchase quality codes, drawings, inspection plans, and checklists to verify Visual, dimensional Inspect, part spaning, lot/serial numbers, lot quantity per the CoC, and verify that there is no shipping and handling damage

  • Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection plans, and blueprints, to determine inspection and test requirements

  • Measures and verify received products, to ensure the functioning, and accuracy, of the specifications

  • Analyzes and interprets sample data

  • If CoC results are discrepant converse with Procurement (Buyer) and the Supplier Quality (SQE) Representative to request the CoC to be corrected by the customer

  • Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data and compares specifications to ensure conformance to standards

  • Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected items, including documenting nonconformance in TipQA/(tag) and material segregation MRB

  • Perform verification of material temperature data and temperature requirements to ensure conformity to data records at the time of receipt

  • Complete SAP acceptance and print accept tags

  • Create a Lab Work Order and notify Stores/Inventory and Material Planner that the Lab Work Order has been submitted to the Lab for materials that require initial testing

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years of manufacturing/production/inspection experience (or similar)​

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

  • Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead.

  • Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance

  • Composite experience and/or certification

  • Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience

  • Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications, and operating procedures

  • SAP experience

Salary Range: $43,100 - $71,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
