What are your contributions to the team?
- Manage the internal and external procurement of parts, the flow of materials to meet the appropriate level of service to our customers, and the inventory level requirements within budget constraints
- Be responsible for the entire procure to pay cycle ensuring healthy supplier relationship and best-in-class operational performance
- Be responsible for the internal and external supplier performance management and drive continuous improvement
- Support Critical Customer Orders and ad-hoc in-service maintenance activities by expediting reception of parts with suppliers, above contractual parameters (e.g. lead time)
- Lead projects with a broad scope in own discipline mid to long-term in focus
- Advise client on complex problems
- Solve moderately complex problems in own specialty area
- Prepare and present issues, findings, solutions to management
- Drive daily continuous improvement activities, including performing root cause analysis, understanding and implementing corrective action plans to KPIs of increased complexity (inventory, COGS variances)
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
- You hold a Technical College Degree or a Bachelor degree in Operations or Industrial Management
- You have 2-12 years experience in a similar position
- You can work on different shifts in rotation (day, evening, night and weekends)
- You strive for a challenging and stimulating work environment
- You have strong inter-personal and communication skills
- You can maintain strong relationship with suppliers and drive improvements
- You have good multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- You hold a APICS certification (an asset)
- You have knowledge and experience in using MacPac, TIMMS and/or SAP is an asset
- You have good knowledge of Excel (Intermediate), Internet, Lotus notes
