Standard Aero (Military and Defense Business Unit) is currently in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Stockroom Clerk to be posted at the military base in Comox, BC. In this position, precision and organizational acumen are paramount, as we consistently strive to uphold the highest standards in aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul services.

Responsibilities

• Receives and visually inspects incoming products for distribution to the RCAF, in a Customer Service Window that is embedded on an RCAF Base.
• Maintains records and prepares documentation for all products shipped and received.
• Ensures all items are received, recorded/accounted for, stored and issued in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Check for damage and create a damage report, if applicable
• Open and unpack crates
• Verify routing information and move the parts to the appropriate area/department.
• Use best practices to pack materials for shipment back to customer
• Work with the StandardAero Customer Service team to understand shipping instructions and create labels
• Finalize shipment
• Keep track of inventory of shipping supplies

Position Requirements

• Valid class 5 drivers license (or equivalent)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for approximately 25 of the average work day.

Preferred Characteristics

• Will need to learn how to use two inventory management systems (StandardAero Menu and DRMIS that is used by the RCAF)
• Well organized with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to think outside the box when solving problems
• A valid forklift operators license
