What are your contributions to the team?
- Conduct on-site supplier assessments to review supplier performance with a focus on manufacturing aspects
- Manufacturing process: Evaluation of manufacturing process, throughput, process bottlenecks, asset utilization, productivity & adherence to regulatory standards
- Capacity: Assessment of overall plant capacity to manufacture the required item within the specified timelines
- Systems: Assessment of systems/ processes used by suppliers to maintain/ improve efficiency –production scheduling, execution automation, deviation mgmt. etc.
- People: Evaluation of supplier workforce competency and skillset
- Identify gaps and improvement opportunities for supplier’s manufacturing processes to increase productivity and thereby enabling a better supplier performance
- Assist team in preparing supplier assessment reports / scorecards outlining risks/ issues/ mitigation steps from a manufacturing perspective
- Prepare and maintain a log of manufacturing related supplier risks and agreed on corrective/ improvement actions
- Collaborate with appropriate team members to track and resolve recurring supplier issues/ risk
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
- You have more than 7 years of Operational Excellence/ Manufacturing Optimization Experience across Industrial Mfg., Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- You have the ability to use Lean Six Sigma tools for process improvement – Root cause analysis, Value stream mapping, Kaizen etc., Lean Six Sigma Green/ Black Belt preferred
- You hold knowledge of key systems/ tools used in a manufacturing environment – Finite Scheduling applications, MES, MRP, etc.
- You hold excellent relationship management skills, strong business acumen, and demonstrated ability to link capability assessment outcomes to Business Objectives
- You hold strong Data analysis/ synthesis and problem-solving skills to consolidate assessment observations, identify mfg. risks and outline improvement action
- You have strong technical aptitude, with knowledge of MS Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word) and statistical analysis software
- 70 travel requirements
