Amentum is seeking Supply Technician to work at Kadena Air Base, 18th EMS.
This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
Performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishments storage plan. Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. Routes materials to prescribed storage locations. Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials. Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage; removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Performs miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc. Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment.
PHYSICAL/WORKING ENVIROMENT:
Requires shift work and a diversity of working conditions that may range from standard shop type environment where there may be no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes in temperature, direct sunlight, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work where high noise hazards prevail. Will be required to wear protective clothing and other safety equipment during periods of extreme hot and cold temperatures. Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, materials identified on the Material Safety Data Sheets, working on or around aircraft and machinery. Aircraft flight line, hangars, and maintenance shops. Able to physically operate aircraft ground servicing equipment including vehicles, tugs, tractors, and high-pressure soap and water systems.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. (Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.)
May be required to complete a SF-85/86 in EQIP as required to maintain possession of a CAC card. Unfavorable background check may result in termination if determination is made you are not eligible for a CAC card.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Five (5) years of job-related material/supply function experience in the military service area.
Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and to take recommended action based upon applicable established guidelines.
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
Possess a valid drivers license and be able to obtain a government driving permit. (as required).
Must be able to work all assigned shifts & schedules.
Must have a US Passport.
Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Supply Technician supporting the U.S. Airforce
