Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing customer hardware in various types of electro-chemical plating tanks by utilizing calibrated, masking and plating tools, properly clean, glass bead, sandblast, degrease and wet hone equipment or parts.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead.
- Follow the prescribed safety regulations at all times while maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to vapors in tank area. The employee will be exposed to extreme temperatures while in tank area. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Abilities and Skills:
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate in English verbally and written
Must have basic math skills – equivalent of 8th grade math or elementary algebra
Must have basic blueprint reading skills
Must be able to demonstrate thorough working knowledge of metal finish disciplines
Must have the ability to follow and complete work and router instructions
Must have the ability to process various parts through their wet chemical process using proper chemical disciplines
Must be able to utilize calibrated tools to ensure thickness and or size measurements
Must display proper methods for cleaning, glass bead, sandblast, degrease, and wet hone
Must handle customer hardware using proper plating and masking tools
Must properly setup racks and tanks for plating operations
Must be teamwork Oriented
Must have time management skills
Must exhibit performance management
Must be results driven
Must be detail oriented
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk, kneel, carry, straight pull, pull hand over hand, push, reach above shoulders, repeat bending, and/or climb
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand for at least 10 hours a day
Vision abilities required: Near, distant, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Manual dexterity is required
