Technical Crew (Support Helicopters – S92)
Equal time roster – 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off
We are currently seeking an individual to join our S92 Support Helicopter operation as a member of the Technical Crew at our base at Mount Pleasant, on the Falkland Islands, in the South Atlantic.
As a member of the Technical Crew, you will be responsible for assisting the flight crew as directed by the Aircraft Commander. To help us achieve our goals, we are looking for an individual who can appropriately manage their own workload and work with the minimum of supervision and full trust of the crew. You will need to be organised, flexible and happy to work in a fast-moving and demanding environment, where the priorities can change at short notice and deadlines are often tight.
This is a physical role that requires an ability to lift heavy loads on and off aircraft unaided, good balance and resistance to motion sickness is essential as at times you may be required to move around the cabin during flights to aid passengers or flight crew as necessary. The ability to remain calm in emergency situations is vital to ensure the safety and welfare of the passengers, crew and aircraft.
Duties include but are not exclusive to:
- Loading and off-loading of passengers and cargo including external loads (HESLO) in accordance with aircraft weight and balance schedules;
- Completion of flight paperwork load sheets ensuring the aircraft remains within limits;
- Assist in performing checks and monitor aircraft parameters and systems;
- Assist with navigation, radio communications and obstacle avoidance during takeoff and landing which requires a good judge of distance;
- Ensuring operational readiness of helicopter;
- Participate in proficiency checks, drills and be able to obtain an CAA Class 2 medical certificate;
- Provide preflight safety briefings to passengers.
As a member of the Technical Crew, you will be working on an equal time roster (normally 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off), based at Mount Pleasant, on the Falkland Islands.
Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience of operating within a Technical Crew capacity (Essential)
- Medical (Essential) for work visa purposes
- Exceptional communication and attention to detail skills (Essential)
- Possess a good level of numerical and written competency (Essential)
- Previous HESLO experience (Preferable)

This position will be based in the Falkland Islands, the successful candidates will need to comply with Falkland Islands Immigration policy medical requirements and obtain a relevant work permit if not a Falkland Islands resident.
