Position Summary
Performs function testing to ensure rubber bonded products meet all quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Follows all manufacturing instructions and print requirements for the testing of bonded components
- Setup and run test equipment with Rubber Test
- Completes necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product
- Completes all quality related inspection requirements
- Ensures all equipment and materials used to perform job functions are compliant to procedures
- Suggest and participate in the implementation of process improvements and scrap reduction activities
- Performs all required preventative maintenance activities
- Actively participates in LEAN projects and activities
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures
- Other assignments as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least 2 years of experience in Testing or Inspection
- Willingness and ability to work 3rd Shift
- Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork
- Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed
- Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required
- Self motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision
- Knowledge of basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (50 of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment.
