Carolina Sky Flight Training is a Part 141 flight school operating a fleet of Diamond aircraft with a maintenance shop at Summerville Airport. Carolina Sky Flight Training is contracted to provide fight training for the Charleston Southern University (CSU) flight training program. We maintain a fun, safe, and flexible work environment.
We are seeking an A&P for our maintenance team, maintaining our fleet of 15 Diamond DA20s, DA40s, and a Piper Seneca. This position is located at Summerville and Moncks Corner Airports.
Applicants must submit a resume with GA work experience and how / where A&P certificate was awarded.
Airframe or Powerplant certificates only will be considered at a reduced hourly rate until completion of both.
Essential Functions:
- Perform routine inspections, tests, repairs, and AOG services on single and multi-engine piston airframes and systems in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed records concerning all work conducted, inspections performed, conditions found, and safety compliance.
- Read and interpret maintenance and installation manuals.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft and engine components, including removal, replacement, and repair of airframe's, engines, propellers, and related systems
- Tow aircraft and perform ground runs
- Keep a clean and orderly work environment.
- Work efficiently and prioritize tasks
- Maintain inventory control and ensure parts acquisition.
- Ensure the calibration of all shop test equipment and tools is accurate
- Use a web-based computer system for tracking maintenance schedules, inventory, and work orders
