The final candidate will have many of the following experiences, skills, and personal attributes.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic or relevant training and educational experience.
- Valid Alaska Driver’s License.
- Current FAA-issued A&P mechanic certification preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Available for travel to different locations on an occasional basis.
EDUCATION
High school diploma required. Completion of FAA-approved A&P course required. Useful subject experience includes mathematics, physics, chemistry, industrial drafting, auto and aircraft mechanics, machine shop, metal and wood shop, and welding. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, electricity charts, and instructional manuals.
LOCATION
This position will operate out of our Angel Aviation Alaska location. Angel Aviation Alaska is located at 2301 Merrill Field Drive in Anchorage, Alaska.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Aircraft Mechanics will report to the Director of Maintenance.
COMPENSATION
The expected pay range for an Aircraft Mechanic is $25-35 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will be paid on an hourly basis and is eligible for overtime based on applicable state laws.
