Job Description:
As an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic, you will impact the NexGen Aviation Flight Academy business growth by conducting aviation repairs and services that allow for operations to be on time. By executing maintenance procedures in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards, you are ensuring safe and reliable flights.
This job reports to the Lead Mechanic
Job Duties:
- Support the operation by providing a high level of professional aircraft maintenance services
- Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components.
- Become familiar with the applicable Airframe, Powerplant, Propeller, and accessory manuals
- Become familiar with all computer systems utilized by the Maintenance Department
- Be willing to learn and adapt
- Partake in company training as required
- Communicate well with flight instructors, other mechanics, and all other employees
- Any other tasks assigned by the Director of Maintenance or Lead Mechanic
- We operate Diamond DA40 and DA42 Aircraft
Job Requirements:
- Valid A&P Certificate (Or able to obtain within 6 months)
- Ability to lift 50 LBS
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to pass a background check to obtain and hold an AOA Badge
- Perform all maintenance per applicable regulations
- Document all work properly, according to regulations and company policy
- Assure hangar and work space is maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times
- Ability to occasionally travel or work overtime on a volunteer basis
- Maintain proper and regular attendance
