Precision Air is looking for an experienced A&P Mechanic to join its team in Manning, SC. The mechanic will provide inspection, repair, and modification services on aircraft to ensure they are operating correctly and safely.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and alteration of aircraft and aircraft engines to FAA or military airworthiness standards. (Piston & Turbine engine).
- Reads and interprets manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, engineering drawings, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Perform structural repairs on metal and composite aircraft to procedures in the aircraft structural repair manual, engineering drawings, or AC 43-13.
- Use hand, shop, sheet metal, precision, and calibrated tools.
- Maintain and repair engines (piston and turbine) on the wing.
- Perform line station maintenance to keep aircraft in flyable and safe operating condition.
- Operate ground equipment such as tugs, power carts, and fork lift.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge and ability to work aircraft mechanical systems, airframe structures, powerplants, propellers, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- English language proficiency required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good communication skills.
