Elite Air Service has an immediate full-time opening for an experienced A&P IA. We are a growing FBO specializing in the maintenance and refurbishment of piston GA aircraft, with most of our work on single-engine aircraft. Help lead our close-knit team of technicians. We frequently work on private and classic aircraft maintenance and refurbishment, with our projects adding years of enjoyment to the greater Michigan, Ohio and Indiana aviation community. Elite technicians frequently provide floatplane service, float change-over, and float installs and our FBO is situated in beautiful southern Michigan along the Coldwater chain of lakes. We're looking for a hard-working, growth-minded A&P IA technician to add to our team.
Qualifications
- Airframe & Powerplant License & IA License (Required)
- US work authorization (Required)
- Minimum of 5 years full-time employment with piston aircraft maintenance experience and minimum 2 years as an IA (Required)
- Basic Office Computer Skills
Position responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day leadership of a small team of AP techs in our shop
- Maintenance, repair, and modification of rental aircraft, company projects, and customer aircraft.
- Great opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft from radial to modern twin.
- Light aviation - piston singles and light twins experience needed.
- Troubleshooting and repair of engine (Continental, Lycoming, Jacobs radial), airframe mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Current working knowledge and continuing awareness of federal regulations and best practices
- Coordinating tasks and cooperation with our paint and interior teams for optimum project completion.
Our ideal candidate knows Continental and Lycoming opposed engines and is experienced with Cessna and Piper singles and twins. Must have an A&P IA license. Premium wage package if you have more than 10 years of hands-on experience with complex piston aircraft maintenance.
This is not an administrative or desk-based position, but a hands-on wrenches role. Our office team handles customer interactions, invoicing, payments, parts searching, parts ordering, and core returns, so our maintenance techs can stay engaged in maintenance, and not be distracted by office functions.
