A&P Mechanic

Job Description

Perform modification and heavy maintenance/depot level maintenance on aircrafts for military/government customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Examine and inspect aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and deicers to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems.
• Conduct routine and special inspections as required by regulations.
• Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that aircraft are ready for operation.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals and manufacturer publications and directives to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance.

Hard Skills

• Must have experience doing heavy maintenance/modification in MRO or Depot environment
• 5 years heavy maintenance experience on aircraft
• Must be eligible for a Secret clearance
• Must have A&P License
• Must have own tools

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bridgewater, Virginia. Typical schedule: 4 10-hour shifts on 1st shift. Schedule may vary slightly to offset the work. There will be plenty of opportunity for overtime.

Work Environment

Individuals will be working in a hangar environment and will be in a MRO type environment. Our Client has several heavy mx and modification. Individuals will work off the production schedule to include work cards where they will be required to complete work in a designated time frame.
