STS Line Maintenance is expanding its operations and is seeking highly motivated A&P Mechanics to join our growing team in Omaha, Nebraska. Position Overview:
As an A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technician at STS Line Maintenance, you will play a critical role in supporting daily maintenance operations for our customers. Your expertise will ensure that aircraft are maintained to the highest airworthiness standards, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our airline partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aircraft Maintenance: Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all maintenance work meets FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and company policies.
- Component Repairs: Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on test results, following maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Precision Work: Use precision instruments to measure parts for wear and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Line Maintenance Station Manager, Station Leads, field airlines, flight crew, and other Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
- Versatility: Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on various aircraft, including Airbus A320, CRJ, and Embraer 170.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring the highest level of quality and integrity in all tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- FAA Certifications: Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certifications with no history of infractions.
- Experience: Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft is a plus.
- Tools: Must own a set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated & specialty tooling provided).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work standing, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 50 lbs unassisted.
- Compliance: Must pass background checks, drug & alcohol tests, and obtain customs & border patrol clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
- Preferred Experience: Experience working under a FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 experience is highly desired. Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus.
- Customer Focus: Superior customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to excellence.
Rate of Pay:
Starting pay rates range from $26 to $32 per hour, depending on experience and formal training. Yearly raises are available upon evaluation.
