Job Description:
The Engine Technician troubleshoots, performs maintenance, and repairs aircraft engines and related aircraft components.
* Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions)
* Comply with Environmental / Health / Safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner
* Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on engines and related aircraft problems.
* Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
* Remove / install / replace aircraft engines and accessories
* Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
* Assist with performing complete engine runs
* Operate ground support equipment
* Assist with off-aircraft component repair
* Perform mechanical/ electrical removals and installations
* Perform other duties as assigned
How to thrive in this role?
* You have an Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
* You have at least 5 years of experience on heavy aircraft maintenance
* You have previous experience in A/C turbine engine maintenance
* You can interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
* You can effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on aircraft status
* You have previous experience on either corporate or commercial jet aircraft (preferred)
* Tug qualified (preferred)
* Forklift qualified (preferred)
* Ground Support Equipment qualified (preferred)
* Basic PC skills
