Aircraft Maintenance Technician

This Flex Tech position will support  both TEB and HPN Service Hubs. 
The main responsibility of the Service Hub Flex Technician will be to support either the TEB, Teterboro, NJ or HPN, White Plains, NY Service Hubs depending on aircraft demand, this position can be based in either TEB or HPN. Jet East technicians are responsible for completing time-sensitive aircraft repairs in the field. These positions are for seasoned technicians that have a professional demeanor, work with minimal supervision in a high demand environment. This position will provide our customers with the exceptional service they are accustomed to receiving when being supported by Jet East Aviation.
 Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform Service Hub maintenance on a variety of corporate and general aviation aircraft at our bases in TEB and HPN.
• This position with be based in either TEB or HPN and will travel as needed to either location when support is needed. 
• Perform maintenance IAW with FAA approved technical data and Certified Repair Station guidelines
• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
• Maintenance shop cleanup, organization, and basic office duties
• Accurately complete all appropriate maintenance, work order, and RTS paperwork

Skills and Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position will hold a valid A&P certificate and experience providing maintenance on one of the following aircraft is a plus:

• Embraer Phenom 300
• Citation 560XLS / 680/680A / 700
• Bombardier Challenger 350/650
• Bombardier Global Express 5000/6000
• Gulfstream 450 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to be willing to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 ft in the air) using fall protection safety gear 
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing repairs 
• Ability to lift 70lbs or more 
• Ability to operate basic hand tools and ground equipment 
• Ability to work in confined spaces   

Non-Physical Requirements:   

• Ability to learn and use technical manuals 
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems effectively 
• Problem solver by effectively reading and interpreting maintenance, wiring and illustrated parts manuals 
• Ability to communicate both in writing and orally with co-workers, customers and Jet East leadership 
• Must be able to perform repairs effectively and quickly in short notice, high-pressure situations 
• Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers 
• Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets 
• Able to travel to locations, in all weather conditions, to perform repairs 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
