General Description
Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.
Duties
- Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies and components
- Perform flight line maintenance of aircraft including functional testing, troubleshooting and repairing all airframe mechanical systems their assemblies and components such as flight control systems, airframe, landing gear, engines, etc.
- Perform post assembly checkout, adjustment, and repair of overhauled and modified aircraft to prepare for and correct deficiencies found on functional check flights.
- Identify malfunctions and determines corrective action required
- Performs engine removal and installation, jacking, leveling, and other routine tasks
- Read and understand data and settings from cockpit instrumentation and gauges
- Initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have at least four years of recent verifiable experience
- Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection seats, nuclear shielding or similar self-contained systems
- Experience using standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands, and external power sources
- Skill in reading and understanding data and settings for cockpit instruments and gauges
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
