V22 Osprey experience required.
The MV-22 Mechanic 3 will expertly perform Organizational level troubleshooting, removal, replacement, and/or installation of MV-22 aircraft components which may be dependent upon Airframe/Hydraulic, Flightline/Drive Systems, or Avionics specialty.
Dependent upon assigned specialty, job duties may include but are not limited to engines, gearboxes, rotor hubs, compressors, blades, APUs, fuel systems, drive shafts, flight controls, landing gear assemblies, hydraulic systems, flight controls and surfaces, actuators and hydraulic components, flight controls and rigging, structural and composite repair, software, multi-function displays, slip-ring assemblies, wiring harnesses, generators, GPS, navigation systems, communications systems, Wiring Interface Assemblies, control units, azimuth switches, and all associated and related components.
As an MV-22 Mechanic 3, you must expertly document all maintenance actions in accordance with applicable publications such as the 4790.2D, IETMS, Technical Directives, and Standard Operating Procedures as required. In addition, the MV-22 Mechanic will enforce and document safety standards, publications, and maintenance programs as directed.
Responsibilities:
Direct a team in the performance of scheduled, unscheduled, phase, calendar, conditional, and special inspections as required by Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), IETMS, Schematics, Technical Directives, and/or as assigned by Maintenance Control.
As an MV-22 Mechanic, you will be required to expertly and efficiently lead organizational maintenance evolutions as well as ensure proper documentation is complete and accurate.
The MV-22 Mechanic 3 will be responsible for enforcing safety standards and documentation of Amentum policies and procedures to include administrative maintenance program audits.
Perform structures and composite repairs in accordance with applicable manuals and Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor scheduled/unscheduled inspections and annotate in NALCOMIS as required.
Complete final inspections and work order completion requirements such as final signature, in-process documentation, and accurate removal and installation documentation on flight critical and non-flight critical components as required.
Operate support equipment in support of all work center operations to include flight line maintenance and maintenance of installed aircraft systems/components and equipment for work center operations.
Responsible for assisting and training Mechanic Is, IIs, and IIIs with performing Organizational level maintenance while solving unusual maintenance problems by troubleshooting, testing, and repairing.
Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data and directives, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Work, cooperate and communicate, as directed, with supervisors, team leaders and coworkers satisfactorily. This includes the professional, mature acceptance of constructive criticism.
Must be team oriented and productive to facilitate other maintenance and administrative operations as required.
The MV-22 Mechanic 3 will assist in the training of personnel and enforcing safety standards in the workplace.
Qualifications and Experience:
Five (5) years actual and recent systems experience required.
Requires expert knowledge of NALCOMIS reporting system to report and document any discrepancies and repairs while performing maintenance and inspections.
Expert knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Publications such as the 4790.2D and IETMS to assist in troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions and discrepancies.
MV-22 Mechanic 3s will be required to complete the CDQAR qualification syllabus withing 90 days of employment.
Previous CDI MV-22 / V-22 Osprey experience Required.
CDQAR, APU, BFWS, Hydraulic Contamination, Tire and Wheel, and all qualifications as directed.
Candidates are required to supply their own tools; specialty tools will be provided.
