ACET is seeking an H-1 Aircraft Mechanic (Flight line) in our Jacksonville, NC location.

Responsibilities:

• Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Operates aircraft towing equipment in towing operations. Maintains aircraft hydraulic systems.
• Performs quality technical inspection of aircraft, aircraft components, parts, repairs, and systems (including avionics, electrical, instrument, and armament) as required by functional assignment.
• Performs quality and safety inspections of on-site equipment and tools used in aircraft maintenance, vehicles, and equipment.
• Performs initial, in-progress, and final quality technical inspections during maintenance, repair, modification, rework, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft components, and component parts, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft components, and component parts
• Provides technical guidance, instructions, and interpretation of written instructions and procedures to mechanics as required to assure acceptable quality work and flight line services.
• Assists in the preparation, processing, and answering of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs).
• Performs troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control, and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems.
• Performs functional checks, inspections, and troubleshooting as required and trained.
• Completes and Maintains aircraft forms and records using the Optimized Naval Aviation Logistic Management Information System (OOMA).

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of rotary wing aviation experience.
• Prior experience as a Collateral Duty Inspector or Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative on USMC UH-1 or AH-1 aircraft preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate
• Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
• U.S Citizen and must pass a background check and be able to obtain and maintain a Common access card.
• Secret clearance required
• Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, and technical manuals, and use measuring instruments, gauges, tools, and test equipment.
• Must demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines, and component parts.
• Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance.
• Must be able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, directives, guides, and forms used on the job.
• Must show proficiency in the use of OOMA after the assignment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds. 
• Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
• Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead.
• Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline.
• Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
• If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
• If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.
• If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
• Travel may be required.
