Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, cleaning, adjusting, assembling, testing, and calibrating aircraft components using company tools and ground equipment. Your work must comply with maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Research technical data and perform disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing, and calibration of aircraft components.
• Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units.
• Read and interpret manufacturers’ and airlines’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Complete appropriate identification, inspections, routing tags, and forms, and make entries into the Component Removal Log upon removing units from an aircraft, engine, or other major component or subassembly.
• Disassemble and inspect aircraft and engine parts for wear or other defects.
• Repair or replace defective engine parts, reassemble and install the engine in the aircraft.
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
• Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including cleaning, servicing, greasing, moving parts, and checking brakes.

• 1-5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance
• Airframe certification required
• Experience with commercial aircraft larger than a CRJ 900, preferably Boeing and Airbus, including Boeing 777
• Current valid driver’s license
• Basic set of tools

• A&P license preferred
• Experience with heavy maintenance, line maintenance, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul)
• Knowledge of FAA regulations

Work Environment

You will work in an aircraft maintenance hangar, exposed to high-intensity noise levels, extreme temperature changes, and materials identified on Safety Data Sheets. The job requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level. You will occasionally crawl, climb, lift, carry, push, or pull weight up to 50 pounds unassisted. The role requires eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, corrected vision, and hearing to normal range. Protective equipment such as goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, and safety harnesses is required. You will also operate various aircraft ground servicing equipment including tugs, tractors, hi-lifts, trucks, servicing carts, and test equipment, as well as hand tools, rivet guns, and drills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marana, Arizona.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr.
