- Per Diem Wages: $1,078.00 a week guaranteed (all Per Diem is non-taxable)
- Taxable Wages: Straight Time (Hours 1 – 40): $25.75 - $28.75 an hours
Overtime (Hours 40.01+) $38.63 -$43.13 an hour
Estimated Take Home (After Taxes) Pay Each Week: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00
Job Description
As an Aircraft Structures Mechanic you will be performing sheet metal fabrication and structural modifications on CRJ aircraft. Most modifications are avionics and electrical upgrades to WIFI Systems, In-Seat Power, Entertainment Systems and more. Primary Aircraft support will be CRJ 700. This position will require extensive over-time and the ability to work 7-Days a week with minimal time off. Typical work weeks are 65 - 75+ hours a week. This positions is a 5+ month contract position with the opportunity to travel nationally after this initial project is completed. Additionally, our top contractors can be brought direct and can expect a yearly salary in the $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 range if they choose to join our clients modification team full time.
Primary Responsibilities
- Fabricate, re-work, repair and remove and replace sheet metal / structural parts and assemblies suck as brackets, shelving, hinges, etc.
- Perform In-Seat Power, Wi-Fi, ACARS & FMS upgrade kit installations on various aircraft types.
- Follow aircraft manufacturer manuals, Engineering Drawings, FAR’s, and Company policies.
- Ensure all installations are performed with safety and high standards in mind.
- Work as part of the Travel Road Team for continual long-term assignments at various airline maintenance bases.
Required Skills & Qualifications- 5+ years of Aircraft Sheet Metal Repair / Structural Repair experience.
- Experience with Aircraft Modification.
- Sheet Metal fabrication experience.
- Basic set of tools.
- Skills in Airframe, Blueprint reading, Riveting, Drilling, Countersinking, Composite Repair.
- Experience with aircraft types such as CRJ, ERJ, Boeing, Airbus.
- Knowledge of Modifications, ADS-B, rivet, aerospace structural, and sheet metal.

Work Environment
This position requires the availability to work 7 days a week, 12-hour days with flexible work hours. Typical work hours are from 7 am until finished (as late as 7 pm). You will work in teams of 5-10 people. The work environment demands great learners and team players.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
