Job Profile The Aircraft Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector position is available in Van Nuys, CA. The QA Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance is accomplished in accordance with the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual and current Federal Aviation Regulations. The Inspector will be actively engaged in the in-process inspection and return to service of aircraft in maintenance. Additionally, the QA Inspector will assist in the continual process improvement of the maintenance department by identifying risks and participating in determining and implementing processes and procedures to mitigate risk and promote a safe working environment.

Q/A Inspector Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance in aircraft maintenance and inspection techniques and procedures according to technical manuals, work standards, and operational policies
- Perform in-process and final inspections of aircraft
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all aircraft maintenance records, reports, and forms to ensure on-time RTS
- Ensure that all maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, Operator/Air Carrier Manuals, and safe standard practices
- Fosters an atmosphere of continuous improvement regarding aircraft maintenance, safe practices, and process improvement
- Assist with the development and writing of revisions to the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Bulletins
- Assure that procedures used in procurement and reception of aircraft parts will guard against “unapproved” parts from entering the parts system and ensure that any such parts are detected before their use.
- Assist the Chief Inspector with maintaining employee training, vendor audits, and tool calibration requirements
Required Experience, Qualifications, and Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in Part 145 corporate aircraft maintenance required, with preference given to experience with Gulfstream (G200, GIV, GV, G550, G650), Cessna 750, Challenger 300/600 series, Global Express, and Embraer 135/145 series aircraft
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant license required
- Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
- Strong working knowledge of FAR 145 and 135 regulations
- Above average written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

The salary range for this position is $45-$60 per hour.
