JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for Mechanical Maintenance and repair on Commercial Aircraft types.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs routine access / open ups / servicing, etc.
2. Performs lubrication.
3. Licensed to operate small tugs, forklifts, scissor lifts, and snorkel lifts.
4. Understands tagging, CB lockout procedures, and fuel cell entry procedures.
5. Component removal / installation with limited supervision.
6. Assist in basic rigging / adjustment tests.
7. Basic understanding of A/C fueling / servicing/ marshalling.
8. Become familiar with system operations / cockpit layout.
9. Understand hazards associated with flight control operations.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Proficient working knowledge of the following skills:
Safety wiring, engine servicing, engine CSD servicing, tire inflation, A/C wash rack/cleaning procedures, A/C lube procedures, hydraulic pressurization/depressurization, wingwalker/aircraft towing, A/C marshalling, Torque wrench values/operation, basic safety procedures, engine cowling opening, nose Radome removal/install, application of external power, stairs/entry door operation, APU servicing cargo door operation, jack operator, fuel tank entry procedures, operation of reader printers/IPC, electrical HOBART, HUFFER, general knowledge of all applicable F.A.R’s and company policy and procedures, familiar with all paperwork procedures including job cards/time cards, routine/non-routine cards, S.R.M’s, service bulletins, and work sign-off/sell off procedures.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A moderate level of interpersonal skills is required
to maintain an effective relationship with various departments, co-workers and
supervision.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Requires easy mobility around all sections of
the facility and the dexterity to install various electrical, mechanical, plumbing systems.
Must possess the ability to distinguish colors to perform work adequately. Must be able
to lift 50 lbs. and report to work regularly.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
30 Months commercial or military experience or Airframe license and 6 months experience, or completion of VT MAE Airman Trainee Program
