The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 3 inspectors who will work with internal P&W business units, suppliers, and partners to develop, maintain, and continuously improve NDT systems.
What You Will Do:
- As a member of the Q&PE NDT team, you will provide technical guidance, oversee inspection systems and processes, drive process improvements, and perform NDT audits.
- Primary NDT Level 3 proficiencies being considered are: Digital X-ray, and Fluorescent Penetrant Testing.
- Secondary NDT Level 3 proficiencies being considered are: Etch (chemical processing), Ultrasonic, and any emerging methods.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Currently hold, or able to obtain, an NDT Level 3 certification in one or more NDT methods.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Work experience as a certified NDT Level 3 in one or more NDT methods.
- Experience with training, personnel testing, and auditing NDT systems.
- Experience with industry quality system requirements in NDT processes.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, and internal/external customers.
- Knowledge and experience with root cause and corrective action process control tools.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft suite.

What is my Role Type? In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
