Responsibilities:
- Perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual tools.
- Conduct bond and ground measurements, in-tank sealing, and fuel tank washing.
- Work in confined spaces with appropriate training and certification.
- Apply sealants and coatings to surfaces per technical specifications.
- Install aircraft system components, such as panels and assemblies.
- Operate mechanical lifts, including ladders, tiger, and snorkel lifts.
- Inspect work for quality and Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
Qualifications:
- Education:
- 1+ years of experience from aviation or technical school is required.
- Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency with typical hand tools and high-impact vibratory tools (e.g., rivet guns, bucking bars, power screwdrivers, C-squeeze, Winslow, Quackenbush).
- Ability to read and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience working with chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, and special finishes.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and qualify for respirator use.
- Experience using CAD/3D drawing programs, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- Ability to operate mechanical lifts and perform tasks such as climbing, crawling, kneeling, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Capability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and adhere to high safety standards.
- Ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow and maintain required certifications.
