Responsibilities:
- Perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual or automated tools.
- Install various aircraft system components, including panels and assemblies, according to specifications.
- Apply sealants and coatings per technical specifications.
- Conduct bond and ground measurements and perform in-tank sealing and structure work within fuel tanks.
- Perform fuel tank washing and prepare surfaces as required.
- Operate mechanical lifts (e.g., ladders, tiger, snorkel lifts) and use various hand and power tools such as rivet guns, bucking bars, lock bolt pullers, and power screwdrivers.
- Utilize CAD/3D drawing programs and technical work instructions for assembly tasks.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED combined with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and Skills:
- 7+ years of aviation assembly experience required.
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience using Microsoft Office/Outlook and CAD/3D drawing programs.
- Skilled in applying sealants, adhesives, primers, paints, and special finishes.
- Experience using hand and power tools (e.g., rivet guns, bucking bars, C-squeeze, ratchet wrenches, Winslow, and 90-Degree Power Vanes).
- Ability to work in confined spaces with appropriate training and certification.
