TASK DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the OIC, Technical Training Schools,
the Maintenance Management Instructor will provide Aircraft Maintenance Management instruction to the KAF and Contractor personnel to include the following areas:
- Basic electricity and electronics fundamentals
- Ordnance Safety Course
- Basic Aviation Ordnance Course
- Aviation Ordnance systems troubleshooting
- Required Ordnance systems Technical Publications
- Basic avionics corrosion control
- Other related Maintenance courses requested by the KAF.
The Incumbent will provide this service to KAF personnel. In addition to formal classroom instruction, the incumbent will perform site audits as requested by the Technical Control Branch which may be followed by extra instruction, OJT, or advice to the KAF or Maintenance practice in line with KAMP 4790.2 Series guidelines.
TASK REQUIREMENTS:
- Develop, implement, and teach Aviation Ordnance Maintenance courses to KAF personnel as required.
- Provide Aviation Ordnance Maintenance OJT as required by the KAF.
- Provide assistance to other departments as related to Aviation Ordnance Maintenance.
MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as an Aviation Ordnance technician involving military aircraft.
- Advanced technical background in military aircraft maintenance to include Ordnance system operation, servicing, and recurring inspection requirements.
- Hands-on experience in the planning of periodic maintenance requirements to include criteria, procedures, and associated documentation.
- Proven experience as a technical instructor with qualifications in Methods of Instruction.
- Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson plan design are required to adapt courses to KAF training.
- Proficient in the use of personal computer word processing programs.
- No security clearance required.
